User testing round IV - Join versus follow and open document

User creates and edits content

Testing Introduction:

We’re working on usability improvements to make the current platform easier and more intuitive. During this test your thoughts and feedback will be extremely valuable. This isn’t a test of you, there are no wrong actions. I’ll guide you through a few tasks, and since this is a prototype, some things may be incomplete or not fully functional.

Please think aloud as you go so I can understand your thoughts. Let’s begin.

  • Permission to record screen

Testing prototype

In this scenario, you’ve been invited by a colleague to a tool, to read some content she is been creating.

You open a link and land on this screen.

Block 1: First look and subscribe flow (10 min)

Without clicking anywhere, take a first look to the content presented:

  • Share your first thoughts.

  • What would be the first thing you would do

  • What do you think subscribed button means?

  • Is there any word you would expect? (Join...)

  • Click on subscribe and give feedback about next steps

  • Where do you think you will find your recent subscription?

  • Quick look to the left column and feedback.

Block 2: Document activity and people (15 min)

Now tell me about the activity of the content you are in:

  • Take a deeper look at the people's tab and share your thoughts

  • How would you go the detail of Salvador Ponce? What would be interesting for you to see about?

  • Take a look to Salvador's profile

  • Imagine you tap Follow. What would you expect to happen?

  • Where would you go find things about Salvador after?

Block 3: Open a document, share it, feed (10 min)

Now imagine your colleague share a specific link to a document inside this site she wants you to read:

  • This is the link: https://ethosfera.org/mejores-empresas-mejor-democracia/do-the-right-think How would you open the document from where you are?

  • How you then share a link from any document to someone?

  • Now, the last thing you want to do is take a quick look to the whole activity of the site, how you would do that?

  • Do you think there is a way to find other sites of your interest from where you are?
